The Department is known for the Expertise especially in CAD-CAM Manufacturing and Production Technology. Experimental and computational facilities are being continuously upgraded. Industry interaction has been increased with industrial visits and arranging expert lectures by industry personnel and carrying out the industry sponsored projects for students. The Department comprises of state-of-the-art laboratories that are well equipped with the most sophisticated instruments. Its mission is to produce the highest quality of graduates to serve the society, and to conduct leading-edge research. Department of Mechanical Engineering offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various facets of Mechanical Engineering. Objectives

• To prepare students for advanced technical positions in industry and for further education.
• To promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between universities and industry.
• To train and educate students and young investigators, as well as established researchers, in the effective use of techniques and equipment for advanced parallel computational systems.
• To attract students into science and technology career paths and to encourage educators to use high performance computing for teaching and demonstrating scientific and mathematical principles.
• To encourage the advancement of computationally intensive science by promoting the use of high-performance Mechanicals, visualization, and other parallel computational tools.

• The laboratories in the department are recognized in a number of areas as testing facilities. It also has workshops for training in smithy, carpentry, welding and machine tools.

Activity

• We have arranged a number of industrial visit for the enhancement of practical knowledge. Some of the industries are ADANI PORT,FALCON PUMPS,JYOTI CNC,PARAS PUMP,HEAVY METAL AND TUBES and many more. For better knowledge of subject we arrange the interactive session of expert from different fields. In mechanical department we have well equipped research lab so that students may feel free to experiment and draw the results.
• We constantly study the student activity and allow them to grow in extra curricular activity also.
• Seminar Conducted on New Education Policy (NEP-2020) on 24-Jan-2022 by Assistant Professor Mandhata Yadav &Assistant Professor Arvind Godhwal.

Future

This is an era of global competitiveness which call for continuous reform in curriculum, to meet the future target we at MEC intended to develop both departmental laboratories as well as faculty, to accomplish this phase wise development programme is prepared. In the initial phase of the laboratory development we would like to established robotics laboratory, vibration laboratory, RP (Rapid Prototype) laboratory with the induction of sophisticated equipment like vibrometer cum FFT analyser, RP machine, CMM, 3D-scanner & printer etc.

As a part of our faculty programme we intend to develop subject wise expertise with motivation toward research, expert lectures from eminent industrial persons and industrial visits which will enhance practical knowledge base, etc are formulated. We are in search of constant improvement of our department. For this we are trying to collaborate with different industries for solving their problems and placement of our students as well.
